Operational support for virtual cycling experience event within the “Let’s Eat Ibaraki Harvest Festival”.

Sankei Digital supported the operation of a virtual cycling experience event held at the ‘Let’s Eat Ibaraki Harvest Festival,’ a charm-enhancing event held at Tokyo’s Oi Racecourse UMAIRU Square on October 26-27.

At the ‘Ibaraki Prefectural Sports Promotion Division’ booth, a spot was set up where the virtual cycling app ‘WhiizU’ could be experienced. Over 100 hopeful participants flocked to the spot over the two days, garnering significant interest as an activity.

Ibaraki Prefecture boasts many attractive cycling courses, including the ‘Tsukuba Kasumigaura Rinrin Road’, which is designated as a national cycling route, and encourages cycle tourism (sightseeing using bicycles).

Many people experienced virtual cycling

The cycling routes of Ibaraki Prefecture were promoted.

Sankei Digital, in partnership with the Taiwan-based app ‘WhiizU’, has recorded five real-life cycling routes in Ibaraki Prefecture to date. At this event, participants were able to choose a course suited to their physique and level, and enjoyed the ride.
