The “Medical Knowledge Association” project was launched, with planning and management support from Sankei Digital.

A new project called the “Knowledge in Medicine Society” has been established to explore the essential knowledge required for practicing medicine in an ever-changing medical and scientific environment. The initiative is led by Koji Asano, a trustee at Jikei University, alongside 10 other representatives from various fields, including medicine, healthcare, pharmacology, nursing, and management. The society plans to hold bi-monthly regular research meetings (seminars), featuring guest lecturers specialized in their respective fields. Sankei Digital Inc. (Headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Tatsushi Doi), serves as the secretariat, supporting the planning and management of this project.

The “COVID-19” pandemic deeply impacted lives worldwide. As society transitions into a “super-smart” era through innovations like big data, AI, and cyber technologies, the medical field is also rapidly evolving with the emergence of new technologies, ideologies, and values.

The Knowledge in Medicine Society was formed to create a platform for fundamental and continuous discussions on how new technologies and social systems can be harnessed to ensure that healthcare fulfills its true potential—improving lives and creating stability in society.
