Sankei Digital supported the operation of a virtual cycling experience event at the “Let’s Eat Ibaraki Harvest Festival,” a promotional event held on October 26th and 27th at Umairu Square, Oi Racecourse, Tokyo.
At the “Ibaraki Prefecture Sports Promotion Division” booth, a spot was set up where visitors could try the virtual cycling app “WhiizU.” On both days, more than 100 people lined up to try the activity, and it attracted significant attention as an event highlight.
Ibaraki Prefecture boasts many attractive cycling courses, including the “Tsukuba Kasumigaura Rinrin Road,” which is designated as a National Cycle Route, and is actively promoting cycle tourism (tourism utilizing bicycles).

Ibaraki Prefecture’s cycle routes were promoted.
The Taiwan-based app “WhiizU,” for which Sankei Digital has a sales partnership, currently includes real video of five cycling routes in Ibaraki Prefecture. At this event, participants could choose their course according to their physique and skill level, and enjoy the ride.
