The Japanese edition of the world’s largest game and entertainment outlet launches its online store
~ IGN JAPAN’s carefully selected products are now available in their lineup ~
The online store “IGN JAPAN STORE” (https://ignstore.jp/shop) for “IGN JAPAN”, the game and entertainment outlet operated by Sankei Digital Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tatsushi Doi), officially opened on Wednesday, June 25th.
Products selected by IGN JAPAN, such as T-shirts and caps from popular game franchises, are available in their store lineup.
Established in North America, “IGN” is one of the world’s largest game and entertainment media brands, providing local editions in over 100 countries and 20 languages. The Japanese edition, “IGN JAPAN” (https://jp.ign.com/), began operations in September 2016. In addition to international coverage, IGN JAPAN creates and delivers engaging articles and videos from a unique Japanese perspective. Its editorial team members are active not only through their own media, but also across television, radio, events, publishing, and more.
“IGN JAPAN STORE” had a soft opening last year at the “Tokyo Game Show 2024”. Up until now, only limited apparel, including IGN JAPAN’s original logo T-shirts, and premium character figures sold at IGN’s own “IGN STORE” were available. But with the launch of the new online store, a curated selection of officially licensed items focusing on overseas games, movies, and dramas is now available through the “IGN JAPAN STORE”. New products such as “Cyberpunk 2077” T-shirts, “The Last of Us” apparel, and many other items rarely seen in Japan, including those from “The Witcher”, “DOOM”, and “Fallout”, are now available.
The range of available products will continue to expand, including home and interior accessories in early July. Additional game-related items, figures, and replica items will also be added. Through the store, IGN JAPAN looks to support all game-loving fans and contribute to the further development of gaming culture.
